Misterjaw (voiced by Arte Johnson) was a blue-colored great white shark (who wore a purple vest with white collar, a black bow tie and tall black top hat) who liked to leap out of the water and shout "HEEGotcha!" or "Gotcha!" at unsuspecting folks (who would, as would be expected, run off in terror screaming "SHARK!!!!!"). He spoke with a German accent and was known to mispronounce words (examples: "dumbkuff" and "knucklehead" -- pronounced as k-nucklehead). He also had a sidekick, a yellow derby-wearing Brooklyn-accented catfish simply named Catfish (voiced by Arnold Stang) who usually referred to Misterjaw as "boss" or "chief"; Misterjaw usually called Catfish either "pally", "fella" or "sonny" when in a good mood, or names like "dumbkuff", "knucklehead", "macaroni brain" when angry or interrupted.

Sometimes, Misterjaw would mistakenly address his sidekick as "Dogfish", only to correct himself a split second later by saying; "I Mean, Catfish". The two would get into all sorts of mischief, ranging from trying to catch Harry Halibut (voiced by Bob Ogle) to outwitting Fearless Freddy the Shark Hunter (voiced by Paul Winchell), amongst other adventures.

All the shorts were directed by Robert McKimson with co-direction from Sid Marcus and produced by David H. DePatie and Friz Freleng. The music and score for the series were composed by Doug Goodwin. None of the shorts contained any credit information; only the series title, episode title and copyright (all dated 1976), and end titles were shown.

The Far Side was a popular one-panel syndicated comic created by Gary Larson. Its surrealistic humor is often based on uncomfortable social situations, improbable events, an anthropomorphic view of the world, logical fallacies, impending bizarre disasters, or the search for meaning in life. The strip ran from January 1, 1980, to January 1, 1995, when it was retired (there were a few sabbaticals and vacations along the way). Reruns are still printed in many newspapers.
Around the world, The Far Side is perhaps better known for the compilation books and merchandise (especially calendars, T-shirts and mugs) than it is for its original incarnation as a daily newspaper feature.
Most Far Side cartoons are single rectangular panel, occasionally split into small sections of four, six or eight for the purposes of a storyline, with the caption or dialogue usually appearing under the panel as typed text, although sometimes word balloons were utilized for conversations. Sunday comics were done in water color or colored pencils, with captions hand written in Larson's own cursive.
Most of Larson's comics relied on some combination of a visual and verbal gag, rather than just one or the other.
Larson was recognized for his work on the strip with the National Cartoonist Society Newspaper Panel Cartoon Award for 1985 and 1988, and their Reuben Award for 1990 and 1994.

Here is hundreds and hundreds of pages of The Far Side...

Popeye the Sailor is a comic strip character, later featured in popular animated cartoons. He was created by Elzie Crisler Segar, and first appeared in the King Features comic strip Thimble Theater on January 17, 1929.
Popeye quickly became the main focus of the strip, which was one of King Features’ most popular strips during the 1930s. Thimble Theater, carried on after Segar’s death in 1938 by artists such as Bud Sagendorf, was renamed Popeye in the 1970s. Today drawn by Hy Eisman, Popeye continues to appear in first-run strips in Sunday papers (daily Popeye strips are reruns of older strips).
In 1933, Max and Dave Fleischer’s Fleischer Studios adapted the Thimble Theater characters into a series of Popeye the Sailor theatrical cartoon shorts for Paramount Pictures. These cartoons proved to be among the most popular of the 1930s, and Popeye at one time rivaled Mickey Mouse for popularity among audiences.
After Paramount assumed control of the Fleischer Studio in 1942, they continued producing the series until 1957. Later Popeye cartoons were produced for television from 1960 to 1962 by King Features, and from 1978 to 1982 and 1987 to 1988 by Hanna-Barbera Productions (now owned by Warner Brothers).

September 14th, 1968.
Mankind was racing towards the goal of landing
a man on the moon. But that Saturday morning, kids
everywhere enthralled themselves with an additional
race, an animated race, it was...

The Wacky Races was a huge success when it hit the
airwaves. Produced by Hanna-Barbera, it spawned
two spin-offs the following year, and a flood of
merchandise hit toy shelves, cereal boxes, and
hobby shops nation-wide.

The plot was simple: 11 outlandish characters
raced each other around the globe to become
"The Worlds Wackiest Racer", but one of the lot,
the evil Dick Dastardly, with his sometimes
faithful companion, Muttley, would go to any length
to win the race by cheating with the most ridiculous
schemes imaginable.

He of course, never won.

The show was inspired by the 1966 Blake Edwards film,
"The Great Race", starring Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon,
and Natalie Wood.

Snooper and Blabber is one of the sequences from The Quick Draw McGraw Show (produced by Hanna-Barbera, between 1959 and 1962). Snooper and Blabber form a pair of cat and mouse detectives. Daws Butler voiced both characters. Michael Maltese crafted the stories. The characters have appeared in other Hanna-Barbera cartoons, including Scooby’s All-Star Laff-A-Lympics and Yogi’s Treasure Hunt. Super Snooper (the cat) is more or less the one in command whenever the pair takes on a case while Blabber Mouse (the mouse, a play on “blabbermouth”) follows whatever orders Snooper gives him. Snooper’s voice was patterned after Ed Gardner’s Archie on the 1940s radio show Duffy’s Tavern. Blabber speaks with a lisp, hence he calls his senior partner “Shnooper.” It was one of the rare shows that paired a cat and mouse together that were in no way enemies.

Though artist Walt Kelly is best known for inventing the prolific cartoon possum, Pogo, he is also responsible for boosting the sales of bread loaves in the 1940s. By creating a dough-kneading cherub in a chef's hat named Peter Wheat, he built a successful promo market for Peter Wheat Bread and Bakers Associates. Though the adventures of Peter Wheat were short-lived, they yielded a few very memorable premiums and giveaways, such as the Peter Wheat News comic book, the Peter Wheat 16-page coloring book and the Peter Wheat cut-out circus.
